Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Slicing Your Ingredients

Start by cubing your sushi grade tuna and place it into the fridge to chill. Finely slice your stalks of green onions and seperate the while and green ends. Finely dice serrano chili (remove seeds if a milder tartare is desired). Slice your avocado and set aside.

  2. Mixing Your Ingredients

In a large, chilled bowl, drop in your tuna. Follow that up with the zest of half a lemon, your sliced green onion (only the white part), and your diced serrano. Mix well.

  3. Dressing And Seasoning

Add in your sesame oil, soy sauce and lemon juice. Finish with toasted sesame seeds and sea salt to taste. Mix well and set in the fridge to chill.

  4. Prepping Your Crostini

Thinly slice a baguette at an angle. Toast bread on both sides. (I prefer to grill it on the barbecue but a regular toaster works too)

  5. Plating And Serving

Place your tuna tartare on a plate, top with your sliced avocado, more sesame seeds, and green onions (only the green parts). Serve with your toasted baguette slices.

  6. Enjoy!

Admire your beautiful, fresh tuna tartare and dig in!
