Masters Pimento Cheese Sandwich

Total Time: 10 mins Difficulty: Beginner

The Pimento Cheese Sandwich is perhaps the most famous food served at the Masters Golf Tournament and has become a staple at Masters viewing parties. The sandwich was first served at the Masters in the late 1940s and stuck ever since. One of the most shocking facts is that even today, the sandwich still sells for a humble $1.50. What a deal!

This is my personal take on the Pimento Cheese Sandwich and it perfectly combines creamy, tangy pimento cheese with soft, pillowy white bread for a simple yet delicious snack.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Making Your Pimento Cheese

In a large mixing bowl combine your cream cheese, cheeses, mayo, pimentos, garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne pepper. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Mix the ingredients well. You can use an electric mixer to make this process easier!

  2. Assembling Your Sandwiches

Spread your pimento cheese evenly on 6 slices of white bread. (This recipe makes 6 sandwiches!) Top with the remaining 6 slices. Slice each sandwich diagonally and serve. Then it's time to Dig In!

  1. Hello! This looks delicious but when you go to Print the recipe the quantities are all off… the Print functions suggest 18 cups of cheese, 72 slices of bread. Not aligned with the 6 servings. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks for the comment! I fixed the issue that was duplicating the serving size. The “print recipe” quantities are now accurate.
